About Intalio and Open Source

At Intalio we take open source seriously and build our entire product line around open source technologies. You’ll find us in various open source communities, from fun projects we do on our spare time to highly capable engines that power our products. We work with languages as diverse as Java and Ruby, licenses as liberal as MIT and as protective as the GPL.

Obviously we spend most of our time on open source projects that are critical part of our product line. Some are developed by the Apache community, others by the Eclipse community, some are found on Github, others are spread in various corners of the Web. We use this site to highlight them all.

So welcome and feel free to explore around. Subscribe to the feed so we can keep you up to date with new ideas, maybe you’ll like to take part in one of these projects.

Projects at Intalio

SimPEL
SimPEL stands for Simple Process Execution Language and is a programing language that helps you write long-living processes in a snap. It’s easy on the eyes, feels like a scripting, integrates with your libraries of choice and knows a few things about REST.

Tempo - The Open Source Workflow Framework
Intalio Tempo is a set of runtime components that support human workflow within an service-oriented architecture (SOA). Our main goal is to provide a complete and extensible workflow solution with a bias towards interoperable technologies (BPEL, BPEL4People, XForms, REST, and web services) as a default implementation.

Buildr4OSGi
Buildr4OSGi extends the Buildr build system to integrate OSGi projects as traditional Java projects.

Projects in Other Communities

Eclipse BPMN Modeler
The BPMN Modeler is a business process diagram editor for business analysts.

Apache ODE
Apache ODE (Orchestration Director Engine) executes business processes written following the WS-BPEL standard. It talks to web services, sending and receiving messages, handling data manipulation and error recovery as described by your process definition. It supports both long and short living process executions to orchestrate all the services that are part of your application

Apache Buildr
Buildr is a build system for Java applications. We wanted something that’s simple and intuitive to use, so we only need to tell it what to do, and it takes care of the rest. But also something we can easily extend for those one-off tasks, with a language that’s a joy to use. And of course, we wanted it to be fast, reliable and have outstanding dependency management.
